PROJECT COORDINATOR  

The Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants (SGDD-ASAM) is a non-governmental organization working to facilitate and support the access of refugees in our country to basic rights and services. SGDD-ASAM is committed to protecting and improving the well-being of all children, youth, and adults, especially children and adults in need of care and support, and to creating safe spaces and expects all staff and volunteers to fulfill this commitment. In this context, SGDD-ASAM, Precaution and Support Principles Document against Sexual Exploitation, Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment was prepared. In addition, SGDD-ASAM accepts the “Zero Tolerance” policy against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse.

Within the scope of our ongoing/new project, we are looking for a "Project Coordinator" to work at SGDD-ASAM Headquarters in accordance with the following qualifications

 

Job Description

  • Monitoring and directing all activities to be carried out in the Headquarters and in the field in order to deliver the services to the beneficiaries in line with the program objectives,
  • Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to develop project plans, objectives, and strategies for providing humanitarian assistance and protection to refugees and persons of concern.
  • To oversee the execution of project activities, ensuring they are carried out in accordance with established plans, budgets, and timelines,
  • Coordinating and monitoring all human resources and financial program components and activities within the scope of the program,
  • Enhancing and implementing monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the progress and impact of projects. Collect and analyze data to measure project outcomes and identify areas for improvement,
  • To plan and monitor the process of developing programs for children and families in accordance with the age and needs. Ensuring the implementation of tools to be enhanced to measure program effectiveness,
  • Conducting new project designs, surveys and field studies on early childhood to support the program,
  • To coordinate and liaise with various internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and community leaders, to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach to project implementation,
  • Managing project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial resources are allocated and utilized appropriately. Preparing financial reports and contribute to donor reporting as required,
  • Making the necessary revisions in cooperation by sharing the changes that occur within the scope of the implementation process of the program with the funding institution,
  • To prepare regular project reports, including narrative reports and data analysis, to update stakeholders on project progress and outcomes. Contributing to internal and external reporting requirements,
  • Providing training and capacity-building support to service providers, partners, and local communities to enhance their understanding of project goals, methodologies, and principles,
  • To raise awareness about the plight of refugees and persons concern especially children and their families through various channels, advocating for their rights and needs,
  • Perform other related duties as required.

 

General Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required (e.g., social work, education, psychology or other relevant discipline), Advanced degree is an asset,
  • Minimum 10 years professional experience in in project/program management, especially in the field of migration, humanitarian assistance etc.,
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and deadlines,
  • Having strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Having Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination and stakeholder engagement,
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project management, data analysis and reporting,
  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing situations,
  • Fluency in English is must, and having knowledge of other languages, especially relevant to the region of operation, can be an asset.
